Subject: Saboten Con - Celebrate 30 years of Robotech with all the original cast

Saboten Con is excited to announce our first round of guest announcements.  We have been working with the creators of Robotech to help celebrate their 30th Anniversary of airing in the USA and we are pleased to announce we have all of the major voice actors from that series coming to Saboten Con this year.

Tony Oliver who was recently named to IMDB’s top 20 all time Anime Voice Actors list, began his career 25 years ago as an actor on stage and camera performing in several feature films and dozens of plays. He found success as a voice over artist, lending his voice to one of the first foreign made animated features to receive wide US release ("The Sea Prince and the Fire Child"). His first foray into television was as the voice of Rick Hunter in the groundbreaking animated series "Robotech". Following that he turned his attention to writing but continued his voice acting career. In 1988 he joined Saban Entertainment as a story editor where he wrote and produced an award winning adaptation of "The Jungle Book" and story edited the long running Nickelodeon anime series "The Noozles". In 1992, Tony was tapped to help create a new kind of children's television show. The result was the mega hit, "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers".

Cam Clarke began his career in short pants and knee socks in 1965 as a member of T.V.’s “The King Family Show”. His mother is Alyce King of The King Sisters. His father is actor Robert Clarke, who starred in many of the science fiction films of the 1950’s and 60’s.
Since the early eighties, Cam has been working in voice-overs, particularly in animation, Voicing such characters as Leonardo in the original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. Cam has voiced many other characters as well including Der Fledermaus in “The Tick”, Mac on “Clifford the Big Red Dog”, He-Man in “He-Man: Masters of the Universe”, and Freddy the Ferret in “Back at the Barnyard”. He has also been the voice of Snoopy, Simba, and can currently be heard as Heath, Hoodude, and Professor Rotter in “Monster High”.
Anime fans will know him from the 80’s cult favorites, as Keneda in “Akira”, and as Max Sterling in “Robotech”. He has supplied voices for numerous video games, most notably Kratos in “Tales of Symphonia”, Blood Elf in “World Of Warcraft”, and the voice of Liquid Snake for the popular “Metal Gear Solid”, series where in a sequel his character came back as an arm. Proving the old adage, “There are no small rolls, just small, …um, …body parts.”
most recently, Cam finished a very succesful run in LA of his autobiographical one--man-show, "stop me if i told you this" , where leonardo and simba try to keep the peace as he-man and liquid snake battle it out! keep your eyes peeled as cam brings it to a theater near you!.

Tommy Yune has worked for over a decade in the comic book and video game industries. His early game development experience includes character design of the pioneering 3D fighting game FX Fighter for the Nintendo SuperFX chip and conceptual design of the award-winning Journeyman Project series. He also wrote and illustrated hit comic book titles such as Speed Racer, Racer X, Robotech, and Danger Girl: Kamikaze which were published by DC Comics' Wildstorm and Cliffhanger labels. His first work in feature animation was creating the computer-generated opening sequence of Kevin Altieri's Gen13.
Tommy grew up on a steady diet of anime, watching as much Prince Planet, Gatchaman and Casshan as he could in Asia and the United States. Then he shunned television and went back to being a responsible student to the delight of his parents. However, right before entering the UCLA School of Engineering, Robotech brought anime back into his life and he eventually found himself at the ArtCenter College of Design instead. His parents wept.
Tommy first worked in an official capacity for the Robotech universe by helping design Robotech.com for its launch in 2001. He has since come aboard as Harmony Gold's creative director and oversees new development, including Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles which completed production in 2006

Best known to the anime community for his portrayal of tragic-hero Roy Fokker in the Robotech series, Dan has been working in “Voice-Over Land” for well over two decades. Over the last few years, he has branched out into recording Audio Books, and has narrated over 70 titles to date. He recently recorded Escape To The Overworld, the first in a new series of books based on the Minecraft video game, and written by his friend, emerging young author, Danica Davidson. Some of his voice credits include: ‘Byakuya Kuchiki’, in Bleach, ‘Haruya’, in DurararaX2, ‘Jigen’ in LupinIII: Jigen’s Gravestone, ‘Caster’ in Fate Zero, ‘Igor’, in Persona III/IV, ‘Zorthy Kanai’, in Gurren Lagann, ‘Gwendal’, in Kyo Kara Maoh, ‘Yang Neuman’, in Macross Plus, and ‘Jagi’, in Fist of the North Star.

MELANIE MACQUEEN has been acting, directing, writing and teaching in the LA area for over thirty years. She was a founding member of THE THEATRE OF NOTE (New One Act Theatre Ensemble) which is still going strong in the Hollywood area. As a member of that theatre she directed, produced and acted in multiple productions. One of her favorite theatrical roles was as “Annie Sullivan” in “The Miracle Worker” at the Commonwealth Theatre which won her a Best Performance Dramalogue Award.
She also performed with the improvisation group, IMPROVETCETERA at various venues throughout Los Angeles. As a playwright, her award winning musical (with David Coleman) “IN THE NAME OF GOD: or honk if you love satire” played to sold out crowds in the NOHO arts district, won three Valley Theatre League Awards and went on to be produced Off-Broadway by Painted Yellow Productions. She is the Program Director of KIDS ACTING OUT! a free after school acting program for elementary and middle school kids (for which she has written many children’s plays, some of which are available on her author page on AMAZON), and she is the Co-Teacher of the Adult Education Theatre Appreciation Seminar –both of these in association with her home base in LA, Theatre 40. She also works for LA’s Best as an ASAP Theatre Teaching Artist with Theatre Phoenix. Her TV roles have been ongoing, the most recent one being as Larry Byrd’s mother in “The Kroll Show” on Comedy Central. Her association with voice artistry began with voice over, film dubbing and anime work in the 1980’s. Her prominent voice role in ROBOTECH, the sci-fi series still attracts interest around the globe. Her most recent voice job was as “Mona” in Harmony Gold’s DEEP SEA 7. She has directed many plays for stage and radio, including “Two by Corwin”, two famous Norman Corwin early radio plays, featuring Carl Reiner at Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills. Melanie has done over 40 commercials using her vocal talents on camera and in radio spots. Her 23 year run as the spokesperson for The Virginia Lottery as the vocally quirky character of “Lady Luck” recently came to a close with an installation of her beloved character in the Library of Virginia and the Virginia Historical Society.

Rebecca Forstadt, also known as Reba West, has been a professional voice over actress in Los Angeles for over 35 years and has an extensive resume in film, television, commercials, animation, audio books and video games. She is best known for her work in the anime genre. Anime credit highlights include: Minmei in Robotech, Maya in Captain Harlock, Tima in Metropolis, Sugar in Snow Fairy Sugar, Pai in 3 x 3 Eyes, Nunnally Lamperouge in Code Geass, Mihoshi in Tenchi in Tokyo and Tenchi Movie 2 and 3, Naomi in Twilight of the Cockroaches, Primera in Magic Knight Rayearth, Suiseseki in Rosen Maiden, Tachikoma in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Ayane Isuzu in Gatekeeper. She has appeared in Hey Arnold, My Little Pony, Dilbert and The Mr. Men Show.
